Pastry for morning pastries
Hello
Can the pastry used to make the sausage rolls be used to make breakfast open pastries..? Or do they require puff pastry, due to the better rise.
Baking bread using a fan setting
Hi Lindsey
I have a fan assisted oven. I would like to make bread, Delia's recipe. Do I turn the temperature down on the oven as suggested in other Delia recipes as am sure the loaf would burn.

Stick butter in place of spreadable
.Is it okay to use regular stick butter where your recipes now call for spreadable butter?

Salt in the Wholemeal loaf
In Delia's recipe for Wholemeal loaf (adaped from Doris Grant's recipe) why does she have 1 dessertspoon of salt in the recipe. I have made this following the recipe to the letter and it tastes awful. I have made it again a few days later with 1 teaspoon and it tastes much better. Thank you.

Alternatives for mixed dried fruits
Hi Lindsey,
Please could you give me alternatives to mixed dried fruit. I am not a great fan of sultanas, raisins or current in my loaf although I would adore candid peels and this the only one I know of so far.
